The Knitting Salon is a project by Trevor Pitt that promotes the sharing of knitting skills via the use of a peripatetic salon designed with Kate Pemberton.
For Artworks-mk, Pitt and Pemberton recreate The Knitting Salon project as an intriguing installation that resembles a suburban hairdressers. Visitors can knit and chat on the 5 Salon Benches that have been collaboratively knitted and felted by groups throughout the UK using locally sourced wool.

One-to-one appointments
During the exhibition visitors can book 1-2-1 sessions with experienced knitters and crafters on 24 & 31 July and 7 &14 August via Artworks MK office on 01908 608108
The Knitting Salon at Midsummer Place
Saturday 17 July
11am – 4pm
The Knitting Salon will be relocated to Midsummer Place for a public event. Local knitters will be on hand to share their knitting and crafting skills.
